tEEth Performance – Home Made

by aaron on April 7, 2011

tEEth is a dance company that rents the studio next to mine at Zoomtopia. They are an award winning contemporary dance group who have built a reputation for cutting edge performances that push the boundaries of modern dance through the exploration of the intense emotions that are expressed within longterm relationships. When I was asked by Angelle, the head choreographer, to take promotional pictures I jumped at the opportunity to expand my repertoire of imagery. Although I had no pervious examples of dance performance Angelle was convinced that I was the right photographer for the job. I'm happy to say I didn't disappoint them. Their production of Home Made won many awards including the grand prise at the Joyce Theater's The A.W.A.R.D Show. With all the attention generated by their production they got many write up's in all sorts of publications including Dance magazine, Seattle city arts, Portland monthly, and the Salt Lake Tribune among many others. With all this attention came the need for imagery. As a result my pictures were published far and wide. They were well received by the dance community and I was proud to have had to opportunity to collaborate with such a talented group of performance artis.
